Prof. Shan Wang joins JUMP/ASCENT Center led by University of Notre Dame and E3S Center led by UC Berkeley, respectively. Wang Lab and collaborators will work on spin-orbit torque magnetoresistive random access memory (SOT-MRAM), magnetoelectric spin-orbit (MESO) logic, and energy-efficient information storage and computing.
Congratulations to Elaine Ng, Bryce Yao, and Tyler Shultz, in collaboration with Canadian company CloudDX, for winning the Bold Epic Innovator Award in the global Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE Competition. This honor was awarded to the team for their integration of GMR technology with CloudDX’s Vitaliti IVD System. Together, they delivered an innovative and impactful diagnostic tool capable of empowering consumers with control over their own personal healthcare.

Cloud DX Inc. (Cloud DX) and Dr. Shan Wang at the Stanford Center for Magnetic Nanotechnology (SCMN) have joined forces to incorporate advanced Giant Magnetoresistance (GMR) biosensors developed at Stanford into the Cloud DX “Vitaliti” Tricorder for submission in the final phase of the Qualcomm Tricorder XPRIZE competition.
